Teaching Keyboard Adventures: The Safari

Studios become qualified for The Safari program through an application and interview process. Studio owners also attend Safari training to ensure that they are able to most effectively offer the program at their studio and to take advantage of special Studio Owner Workshops. A Studio owner will not be required to teach the program but to best understand the method and to promote it to prospective parents, it is vital to attend one teacher training.

While those applying to become a Safari teacher will likely already be part of an existing studio, we also welcome applications for teachers without an affiliation as we know that studios are always seeking qualified instructors and we are happy to pass your information along to them if we are able. A teacher, however must be affiliated with a studio before they can receive the training as this program is meant to be delivered in a formal business setting and not in a private home.

Training for Safari teachers and studios is conducted annually at a location(s) in Canada. In addition, in alternate years, an International training opportunity that connects to the teaching curriculum is offered for teachers and studio owners.

Teachers are able to receive training for ALL levels of The Safari program during the annual training sessions. This consolidated 1-year training program (for all the levels) makes it easy for qualified teachers and studios to offer the full program to students in their community from the beginning.

For 2017, training will be held in Calgary, AB from July 4 - 7.
